Queen Victoria asked Bedford to travel to Coburg, the town where Prince Albert spent his childhood, in order to make a series of views of the places that would be most familiar to him. This album of 60 photographs was eventually presented to Prince Albert from the Queen for his birthday on 26 August 1857. Commissioned by Queen Victoria and presented to Prince Albert, 1857
