The next morning at 5.30am the Prince climbed the Great Pyramid to see the view from the top. He described the climb as ‘rather serious and difficult’, adding ‘but you are rewarded by a fine view on the top’. At 10.30am, the royal party returned to the yacht and were preparing to commence their journey along the Nile. Acquired by the Prince of Wales, 1862
