      1862, with scarabs dating from c.1600 BC to c.650 BC

      These scarabs, ranging in dates between the XII and the XXV Dynasties (c.1985 – 656 BC), were mounted as jewellery in London in 1862. Many were included in a wedding gift from the Prince of Wales to Princess Alexandra, in March 1863.
