Invoice listing supplies sent to HMY Osborne, Alexandria, Egypt,

Kanné, the Queen’s courier (see above), kept meticulous financial records from the tour. The invoices sent to the paymaster on board the Osborne provide an extraordinary list of
the food items that were consumed. The bill includes 12 kidneys, 30 fowls, 24 pigeons, 36 quails, 200 eggs, 150 oranges and 24 bundles of asparagus.
