Capernaum is situated on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee. It was home to several of Jesus’ disciples, including Peter. The royal party stopped here to lunch under a fig tree and Bedford took the opportunity to photograph them. After eating, the party packed up and headed north towards Safed. Acquired by the Prince of Wales, 1862
