The three portraits on this page cover a ten-year period from 1936. All three were taken by the photographer Lisa Sheridan. Clockwise, from the top left: Princess Elizabeth with her Pembrokeshire Welsh corgi, Dookie, July 1936; Princess Elizabeth in Girl Guide uniform as a Leader of the Swallow Patrol in the First Buckingham Palace Company in 1942; and the Princess aged twenty.
