The wedding breakfast, held in the Ball Supper Room at Buckingham Palace, was attended by 146 guests, including members of the royal families of Greece, Denmark, Iraq, Norway, Roumania, Spain, Yugoslavia and Sweden.

Twelve wedding cakes were offered to the Princess. Pieces of cake and food parcels containing raw ingredients were distributed throughout the United Kingdom to hospitals, schools and charitable institutions of which Princess Elizabeth was patron.

The official cake, made by McVitie & Price, consisted of four tiers. It stood nine feet high, weighed nine hundred pounds and was cut with Prince Philip's naval sword.
