    This photograph is taken from one half of a stereoscopic negative and was originally intended to be viewed as a three-dimensional image. This row of cottages would have been one of the first sights of the town for passengers disembarking from the ferry. For foreground interest, Wilson has framed two figures by a rowing boat.
