Victoria and Albert spent 20 happy Christmases together at Windsor Castle

Sir Francis Grant (1803-78)
Queen Victoria with Victoria, Princess Royal, and Albert Edward, Prince of Wales 1842
RCIN 406944
By Christmas 1842 the couple had been married for almost three years and had a daughter, Victoria, who had just turned two, and a son, Albert Edward, later King Edward VII, aged six months.
'Pussy' [Victoria] was quite delighted with all the lights, & her toys, & remained sometime, Baby [Albert Edward] only coming down for a little while, still in his 'Windsor Uniform'
