A set of eight small gold cups and covers, the sides engraved with a delicate floral decoration.

The set was presented to King Edward VII, when Prince of Wales, during his tour of India in 1875-76. The donor of this gift is recorded in Indian Art at Marlborough House (1898) as the Maharaja of Kashmir. However, these cups were probably presented to the Prince by Kharak Singh, Raja of Kapurthala, who also presented a pair of gold bottles with matching engraved patterning (see RCIN 11362).
