Pair of arrows
1850 - 1957RCIN 98218
These arrows have points made from the kitchen utensils of pioneers killed crossing Sioux country during the nineteenth century. The red paint indicates that they were made for war, and each flight is made from eagle feathers. The arrows formed part of the museum collection at the Southern Plains Exhibit & Craft Centre, Andarko, Oklahoma, and were presented in commemoration of the 1632 Maryland Charter in June 1984.
