CHESAPEAKE

Pair of arrows

2013

RCIN 99727

This pair of arrows was sent to Queen Elizabeth II by the Society of Colonial Wars in Maryland in 2013. The presentation marked the 300-year anniversary of the deeding of My Lady's Manor, a 10,000 acre area in northern Baltimore. The arrows were made by Daniel Fire Hawk of the Nanticoke tribe from the Chesapeake. The case was made by wood from a cherry tree harvested in the grounds of My Lady’s Manor.
