Millinery

Her Majesty The Queen is rarely seen in public without a hat and has been a leading exponent of British millinery throughout her life, patronising some of the most important milliners working in England throughout the twentieth century and into the twenty-first, many of whom will be represented in the exhibition.

Hats are very carefully designed and selected to ensure that The Queen is visible when undertaking her official duties. Many of the millinery designs worn by Her Majesty have been strikingly fashionable often featuring unusual sculptural shapes, fabrics and trimmings.

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
