Blair Athole
c.1863RCIN 2950698
On 11 September 1844, Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and Princess Victoria arrived at Blair Castle, Blair Athole, where they were guests of Lord and Lady Glenlyon.
Immediately near the house the scenery is very wild, which is most enjoyable. The moment you step out of the house you see those splendid hills all round … This mixture of great wildness and art is perfection.
