Portraits of Dogs: From Gainsborough to Hockney

The Wallace Collection’s new exhibition is a celebration of man’s best friend – the dog. The items on loan from the Royal Collection focus on previous monarchs’ pets and include Sir Edwin Landseer’s large group portrait of three of Queen Victoria’s dogs Hector, Nero, and Dash, and watercolours made by Queen Victoria herself of some of her beloved dogs, including a litter of dachshund puppies.
