4 October 2023 - 7 January 2024

The Georgian Illuminations exhibition at the Sir John Soane Museum highlights the impressive light shows and temporary architecture that was created for them during the Georgian Period. The Royal Collection has loaned five works on paper, including a design by Robert Adam for an illumination to celebrate the birthday of George III in 1763, and contemporary prints illustrating a variety of fireworks and illuminations marking national events.
