Roughly cast bronze model of a Lipizzaner horse, front left leg raised slightly. On rectangular green marble base.
Provenance
Presented to Queen Elizabeth II by Prime Minister Janez Jansa of the Republic of Slovenia during an audience at Buckingham Palace, 14 November 2007.
This bronze was presented a year before The Queen made a State Visit to Slovenia. During this visit she was presented with a live Lipizzaner stallion, Favory Canissa XII, who remained at the state stud farm at Lipica. -
