A watercolour showing a Spanish girl on a balcony. The girl is shown full-length, standing and facing left in profile with one hand raised as if waving to someone. She is wearing a striped skirt with a black jacket and headdress. Inscribed lower left: ALICE pinxt. Feby 10th 1857.
Queen Victoria's children often made cards and drawings for their parents as gifts on important dates, such as this watercolour executed by Princess Alice for her parents' wedding anniversary on 10 February 1857.
