A peace pipe with wooden stem and slate bowl decorated with pink, red, white feathers and leather tassles and red, orange and black beads.
In 1973 The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh undertook a tour of Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan and Alberta, as well as Ottawa, where they were present at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. During this visit The Queen was presented with this pipe of peace by Chief John Samson.Provenance
