Illustration to Book 7 of the Bhagavata Purana, Chapter 5: Hiranyakashipu watches from a balcony as the demons attempt to crush Prahlada with an elephant. The boy lies on the floor unharmed thanks to Vishnu's protection. The elephant's tusks are broken and one of the demons' tridents has been bent. In the upper right, another demon carries a large snake with which he also hopes to attack Prahlada.
