A print by Giovanni Battista de'Cavalieri generally thought to reproduce, in reverse, a drawing in the Louvre (inv.no.3913) which itself is considered a copy after a lost modello (by either Raphael or Giovanni Francesco Penni) for the fresco Moses presents the Tablets of the Law painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the vault of the ninth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. Lettered with scriptural reference (Exodus 33), attribution of the composition to Raphael, the engraver's signature and publication details. Reprint by Carlo Losi, dated 1773.
