A photograph of a drawing now in the Albertina, Vienna (inv.no.172). It is catalogued as being an anonymous copy after a preparatory drawing attributed to Raphael (also in the Albertina; inv.no.171) for the fresco Angels appear to Abraham painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the vault of the fourth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican.
Dacos (2008; see Bibliographic References) attributes this drawing (and the execution of the fresco itself) to Giovanni Francesco Penni.Provenance
