A print reproducing the upper half of the west wall of the Stanza dell'Incendio in the Vatican. Lettered with artists' names, publisher's address and text in Latin along the lower margin. Numbered at lower right: 18. From Picturae Raphaelis Sanctij Urbinatis ex Aula et Conclavibus Palatij Vaticani..., a series of 18 plates (plus title-page) after Raphael's frescoes in the Vatican published in 1722. The publishing date is to be found on the title-page of the series.
The lunette fresco depicting The Coronation of Charlemagne was painted by Raphael and his workshop in c.1516-17.Provenance
