A photograph of a circular pen and ink drawing attributed to Giovanni Pietro, called Lo Spagna, currently housed in the Devonshire Collection, Chatsworth House (inv. no.720). The drawing has been formerly attributed to Raphael.
The photograph shows the Virgin, three-quarter length seated, holding the Christ Child on her lap who sits on a cushion and reached for the book held by His mother; the Virgin and Child are flanked by St Sebastian at left and St Roch with his hands clasped in prayer at right, with the bearded St Joseph standing behind him and looking down at the Child.Provenance
