A print reproducing a composition often attributed to Raphael, related to the so-called Madonna mit dem Becken (Madonna del Catino), a painting by Giulio Romano (c.1525) currently housed in the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Dresden (inv. no.103). Only state.
A 16th-century anonymous print of the same composition (although with some differences and in reverse) can be found at RCIN 812272.
The print shows the full-length kneeling Virgin, bathing the Christ Child who turns towards the Infant Baptist who pours water over Him from a jug, with St Anne holding a cloth next to a fire at left; in an interior.Provenance
