A photograph of the so-called Holy Family of Francis I, a painting attributed to Raphael and his workshop (1518) now in the Musée du Louvre, Paris (inv. no.604). Not listed in Ruland's Raphael Collection catalogue (1876).
Showing the full-length seated Virgin supporting the Christ Child stepping out of His cradle; with St Joseph behind her on the right, and the crouched St Elizabeth supporting the Young John the Baptist who clasps his hands in adoration on the left; behind them an angel crowning the Virgin with flowers and a young woman with hands crossed on her chest; in an interior with view of landscape.Provenance
