A print after the so-called La Perla, a painting now in the Museo del Prado, Madrid (inv. no.301), generally attributed to Giulio Romano (c.1518-19), possibly after a design by Raphael. Lettered within image: [lower left] RAPHAEL.VRB.IN.; [lower centre] .B.M.; [lower right] BATT.COGNOMEN TO.DEL.MORO. A photograph of the painting can be found at RCIN 851004.
Showing the full-length Virgin supporting the Christ Child and putting her left hand on the shoulder of St Anne who is crouched beside her on the right, with the young John the Baptist approaching the group on the left offering fruit, and St Joseph partially hidden among ruins in the left middle ground; in a landscape.Provenance
