An engraving after the so-called Madonna del Pesce, a painting by Raphael and his workshop (c.1513-14) now in the Museo del Prado, Madrid (inv. no.297). As lettered on the print, the painting was once in the church of San Domenico, Naples, and was later acquired by Philip IV, King of Spain. Lettered with title and production details.
Showing the enthroned Virgin holding the Christ Child with both hands, with the Archangel Raphael presenting the young Tobias who kneels down while holding a fish on the left, and St Jerome with an open book and his lion on the right.Provenance
