An engraving thought to have been based upon a lost drawing by Raphael, related to the so-called Madonna di Foligno, an arch-topped painting by the master (c.1512) now in the Pinacoteca Vaticana, Vatican City (inv. no.329). First state. Signed with empty tablet at lower right. Photographs of the Madonna di Foligno can be found at RCINs 850929, 850930.
