Description

An engraving reproducing (in reverse) the composition of the so-called Madonna del Divino Amore (c.1516), a painting currently attributed to Raphael’s workshop and housed in the Museo e Gallerie Nazionali di Capodimonte, Naples (inv. no.146). Lettered with production details and a text in Latin and Italian.

Showing the seated Virgin holding the blessing Christ Child on her legs, with St Elizabeth at her side and the Young St John the Baptist kneeling down on the left; St Joseph stands in the background to the right.
