A print after a painting traditionally known as the Madonna del Divino Amore (c.1516), currently attributed to Raphael’s workshop and housed in the Museo e Gallerie Nazionali di Capodimonte, Naples (inv. no.146). Lettered with ancient attribution of the painting to Raphael, title and production details. With the engraver’s blind stamp at lower centre (Lugt 591).
Showing the seated Virgin holding the blessing Christ Child on her legs, with St Elizabeth at her side and the Young St John the Baptist kneeling down on the left; St Joseph stands in the background to the left.Provenance
