A musical instrument known as a sansa formed from a hollow wooden block, with iron keys and snail shell rattles attached.
The instrument is held in the hands and the metal tines are plucked with the thumbs.Provenance
Given to Prince Christian by a missionary nurse, Miss Ada Smith, in 1898. Presented to the Osborne Museum by Princess Henry of Battenberg (Princess Beatrice).
