An uncoloured print of a scene outside a country tavern where a group of soldiers are drinking and toasting a young woman who stands, wearing a soldier's hat and with a child by her side. The tavern is named the King's Head and has a sign bearing the head of King George III. In the background, another soldier is seated on a horse with a bugle on his back. A bird in a cage hangs outside the inn.
