A hand-coloured print of a man suffering from hypochondria manifested by demons and ghosts flying about his head. The victim sits in left side profile, his arms folded across his body and his face ashen. Immediately in front of him, a spirit hands him a pistol whilst above, a skeleton thrusts his javelin towards the man. A funeral cart and demons provide further visions. On the right a doctor stands in contemplation holding his stick. He is accompanied by a maid or house keeper. Landscape pictures hang on the wall of the room.
