Bound in brown sheepskin; edges gilt and gauffered, with gilt tooling of coat of arms on front board This manuscript catalogue accompanied an album of 66 drawings by Nicolas Poussin, assembled by his patron Cardinal Camillo Massimo and acquired by Frederick, Prince of Wales around 1750. Massimo’s arms, formed of numerous small tools, are the centrepiece of a simple panel binding.
