A coverlet, quilted in Asian style in yellow silk and embroidered with coloured silks and silver and gold thread with gold work raised by padding. Central medallion of phoenixes, flowers and grotesque monster and broad border filled with floral stems diverging from the corners and separated by flying phoenixes. Lined with green and cream linen.
Provenance
In the Royal Collection before 1910, traditionally believed to belong to Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII, but too late in style.
