A view of the Palace of Holyroodhouse and its surrounding environs, showing one of the proposed designs for a memorial to King Edward VII which takes the form of two semi-circular walls of colonnades. The print is lettered below the title: Shewing the projected improvements as proposed by the Hereditary Keeper of Holyrood House'. This design was not realised and instead Queen Mary suggested the use of the Tijou screen at Hampton Court as inspiration for a more open railing and gates design which is what can be seen today.
