Stirrup-hilt sabre with steel hilt, short langet and D-section side iron; rayskin-covered, bellied, wooden grip, with brass wire; steel blade with broad fuller, gilt panel with Van Dyked edge, roses and thistles, blued steel panel with miltary trophies and badges, outer face with Britannia and busts etc. Steel scabbard with three steel mounts, Prince of Wales's badge and motto and maker's mark within laurel spray.
