An Indonesian kris and sheath, the gold handle case in the form of a garuda bird. Wavy steel watermarked blade. Wood gold-cased sheath, filigree decorated mouthpiece, the shaft chased with foliage, spiral fluted bands and bands of scrolls. Gold loop and charm with star ornament.
Provenance
Presented to George III or George IV when Prince of Wales by the Marquis Wellesley, 25 April 1804. Previously belonged to the Rajah of Assam.
