Asiatic sabre: ivory pistol-shaped grip divided by two gilt metal sideplates painted with scrolls and geometric decoration; pommel and crossguard enamelled with red flowers, green leaves on a white ground enclosed by blue and gold scrolled borders; back-edged watered steel blade with inscription. Gold painted leather covered wooden scabbard.

Bought by George IV when Prince of Wales from Mr Jackson, 15 October 1809.
Recorded in the North Corridor Inventory of Windsor Castle with the note, "This belonged to Shere Af Khun, the history of whose life is rendered very interesting from the cruelty he experienced and the troubles he encountered.The account of which will be found in Dow's History of Hindustan.Vol 3 p 20." -
