Mezzotint of George IV as Prince of Wales. Whole length with tied wig, lace tie, waistcoat, sash, and embroidered coat with Garter star. Standing with right hand on hip, and with left resting on a horse. With a tree, cavalry, and landscape in the background. With English inscription below, including publisher's address, 'London Publish'd May 5th. 1789 by J, R, Smith, No 31 King Street Covent Garden.' Ninth state with stipple lettering, heavily reworked with alteration of background, and re-engraved to reflect the sitter's later corpulence.
