Description

Engraving with etching of James I as King. An allegorical scene in which James I leads a cart dragging the figure of War in chains, meanwhile, in the background scenes of peace and prosperity are represented. Cut down from a broadside on the Twelve Years' Truce between the Dutch Republic and Spain (1609-1621).
