A set of three shaped-oval hybrid paste porcelain dessert dishes, painted with exotic, richly coloured 'Japan' patterns of stylized floral sprays, blossoms, etc.
Provenance
Part of a dinner service, known as the Harlequin Service, commissioned by George IV when Prince of Wales, 1807. Part delivered in 1811 and finally in October 1816. The total order invoiced at more than £4,000.
