This medal was struck in the Birmingham Mint in 1911 to celebrate the Coronation of King George V. The obverse of the coin shows a conjoined bust of the King and his Queen Consort Mary. On the reverse there are two trumpeters standing on the stern of the Ship of State which is carrying the crown on a cushion. This medal was designed by Alfonso Toft who was mostly a British Landscape artist. This is the only medal he designed.
