Wilhelm Paetz (1800-56) a portrait and landscape painter, was active in 1838, in Düsseldorf and later in Bückeburg, where he died on 29 June 1856.
Bückeburg, a town in Lower Saxony, was once the capital of the tiny principality of Schaumburg-Lippe. Although the princes surrendered political power in 1918, the Schloss is still the seat of the Schaumburg-Lippe family.Provenance
