Photograph of a carriage with two grey ponies harnessed, standing in right side profile. Standing outside of the carriage in three-quarters right profile is Prince Albert (1819-61) who wears a top hat. In the carriage Queen Victoria (1819-1901) is seated at the front, nearest to the viewer. In the back of the carriage Princess Alice (1843-78), later Grand Duchess of Hesse, and Princess Helena (1846-1923), later Princess Christian of Schleswig-Holstein, are seated. There are other people seated in the carriage. A postilion is seated on one of the horses and a second groom stands at the far right. The photograph was taken at Osborne.
