Circular photograph of Queen Victoria (1837-1901) and Princess Louise (1867-1931), standing in the garden of Abergeldie. Queen Victoria is stooping, looking at camera, wearing a bonnet and embroidered cape. Princess Louise stands to right, wearing a hat and veil, jacket and plaid skirt. Queen Victoria mentions in her journal for Thursday 9th October 1890, a visit to Abergeldie Castle, where the Waleses were staying, to say goodbye to Princess Alexandra and her daughter Princess Victoria, who were leaving on that day. She also writes that Princess Louise was there with her husband, Alexander Duff, Duke of Fife.
