William Evans was the son of Samuel Evans, a Welsh artist who taught drawing to King George III's daughters and was Master of Drawing at Eton College. William Evans was educated at Eton and eventually succeeded his father as Master of Drawing and House Master. There are a number of watercolours and prints by him in the Royal Collection.Provenance
