Small burgundy half leather-bound album containing 69 photographs (RCINs 2906409-2906477) of portraits of the Royal Family and their friends and a few topographical views. The album features gold tooling on spine, which features four raised bands.
The album is inscribed 'Lenchen from Bertie. Nov: 1859. Windsor Castle.' 'Bertie' refers to Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII (1841-1910) and 'Lenchen' refers to Princess Helena (1846-1923), from the German nickname 'Helenchen'.Provenance
