The female holds aloft a cup in her right hand and is supported on Pan by a belt that Pan wears over his right shoulder. On the right stands a small boy, hoofed, holding the hand of Pan. On the ground between Pan and the boy are grapes and pan pipes. This piece was included in a group of works of art exhibited at Marlborough House in 1854. An invoice dated 14 July 1854 for 11 photographs totalling £1 13s was submitted to Dr Ernst Becker and payment was received by Bedford on 12 October 1854 (Royal Archives PPTO/PP/QV/PP2/4840).
